Lawnmower Class Action

Did you buy a lawnmower between January 1, 1994 and April 12th of this year? If so, you may be eligible for a $35 to $75 rebate or credit, or extended warranty, based on a class action lawsuit settlement.  As it turns out, lawnmowers with engines made by Toro, Briggs and Stratton, Honda, Kawasaki, Kohler, and Tecumseh are subject to this rebate, along with John Deere and Sears Lawnmosers. There are a lot of brands in this settlement, including Weed Eater, Craftsman, Troy Built, and Snapper.

What does the class action lawsuit settlement cover? The allegation is that lawnmower manufacturers sold lawn mowers showing gross horsepower (theoritecial maximum) instead of net horsepower, which is more accurate. This particular lawnmower class action lawsuit has a deadline of August 31, 201 to claim cash benefits, and the warranty has a redemption date of 1 year after final approval.
